The problem is that there can be no requirement that consumers are aware that salmon is a genetically modified organism; United States tends to favor corporate entities to their own citizens when it comes to dissemination of genetically modified foods, therefore if allowed sell these salmon, probably no one will be the wiser.sad but true that companies have more rights than the citizens of the United States.

The economy must be completely deregulated to these antics not happen, but the people are afraid that for some reason.
