How Diet Carb are Used as Fuel for the Body

Do you know how diet carb are used as fuel for the body?  Every time you consume a carbohydrate food, it is processed the amylase enzyme in your mouth to be converted into a simpler form of carbohydrate which is glucose.  Glucose is then absorbed into the blood stream through the digestive tract. Insulin is released by the pancreas which helps the glucose enters the cells of the body to be turned into energy. However, it is impossible to use all of the available glucose form food especially when it is available in abundance, Therefore insulin works to help the cells absorb what is needed and store the rest in the liver and muscles.  It is stored in the form referred to as the glycogen. Glycogen can be easily converted back to glucose to be burnt off as energy by the cells.

A Diet Programme for Seven days

To fasten up your diet you might be thinking of using some supplements or weight loss products in the market. How about considering a seven-day diet?

A diet programme that works within seven days is the “Seven-day diet”. Have you ever heard of Cabbage diet? Let us take that as an example. This diet has to be taken only for seven days. It promises about 10 pound of weight loss in just a week. After trying a seven day diet you can go back to your choice of any diet programme. It is expected that you already have lost weight on that seven day stretch.  This seven day diet programme is not advisable in the case of obesity. This will not work in those cases, but if you are a little bit overweigh. This Seven-day diet programme however is a  good alternative of losing weight compared to just sweating yourself. (more…)
